Maynards Colheita 1940 White Port is a high-quality old Port wine, which features lots of concentration by the ageing in wood. It shows layers of caramelized citric aromas and dense spices and it impresses with the acidity of citrus jelly aroma mixed with flavours of fig's mousse and roasted hazelnuts.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita 1940 White Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 80 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Códega, Rabigato, Malvasia Fina, Arinto.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita 1940 White Port is a Port wine full of concentration and aromatic richness, with predominant notes of citric fruits that have aged in the wood for 80 years. From those delicious flavors, it highlights aromas of burnt orange peel, bitter orange, blended with flavours of macerated black figs mousse and roasted dried fruits, such hazelnuts, nuts, and almonds.

Serving temperature at 10ºC-12ºC.
