Messias Colheita Port 1952 is a deep gold coloured wine. It's rich and sweet, with flavours of wood contrasting with the beautiful raisin and prune flavours. It is still impressively fresh and vibrant.
Winemaking:
Messias Colheita Port 1952 was harvested the year a princess became Queen Elizabeth II. This magnificent Port wine was bottled in 2016 and it was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of an exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood for 64 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing on wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca.
Tasting Notes:
Messias Colheita Port 1952 has a blondish colour. Although his long ageing in wood casks, it features young fruity aromas and due to oxidation, it gives rise to a bouquet of dried fruits, honey and spices. It's soft with an extraordinary complexity in the end.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serving temperature at 15ºC-16ºC.
