Messias Colheita Port 1965 reveals an old gold colour and features a solid structure that brings out its dry character along with its dense mature flavours, its spicy wood and its great concentration. As it develops in the glass, rich fruitiness comes through to add to the old wood flavours.
Winemaking:
Messias Colheita Port 1965 was bottled in 2016 and it was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of an exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood for over 50 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing on wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca.
Tasting Notes:
Colheita Ports are vintage wines aged in barrel (this was aged for 51 years before bottling in 2016). This gives to this Messias Colheita Port 1965 huge concentration, dense flavours of sweet plums. The wood ageing has softened the tannins.

Serving temperature at 15ºC-16ºC.
