The grapes harvested by hand for the Casa Ferreirinha Special Reserve Red were vinified by separate grape varieties were chosen in the vineyard and on arrival at the Quinta da Leda winery. After the destemming followed by a gentle crushing, the alcoholic fermentation occurred in stainless steel vats. During this period, intense reassembly occurred at controlled temperatures of 26 ° C. Followed by a prolonged maceration with the skins in order to extract the aromas. Finally, and in the precise moment dictated by each Breed of grapes, the wine was stored and the wort pressed. The wines resulting from the pressing were separated from the bagasse. At the end of the maceration and the final fermentations, the wines were aged for about 16 months in French oak barrels. The final batch was made from a continuous selection of the best wines.

Store and Serve Advices:
Although it is ready to be consumed, once launched in the market, this wine has a potential shelf-life of more than 30 years and a positive evolution in the bottle. The wine should be carefully decanted to separate its natural deposit. Serve between 16ºC and 18ºC.

José de Sousa Mayor is an intense and rich red wine from the region of Alentejo that presents a lot of complexity and freshness. It combines intense notes of ripe black fruit aromas with fragrances of mint, basil, vanilla, and spices. It is an opulent wine with imposing tannins and great acidity.
Julian Reynolds Grande Reserva is a robust, deeply dense red wine that features an intensely aromatic and complex bouquet from the Alentejo Region. Featuring a dark red colour, it's characterized by an intense and markedly juicy core, filled by full of aromas of wild black fruits, austere and imposing tannins, and very poised acidity.
Fruity aromas dominated by nuances of forest fruits and strawberry. In the mouth, we find flavors that are identical to the aromas, integrated with a structure of soft tannins.
