Frei João Reserva is a full-bodied, dense and fruity red wine from the Bairrada region. It presents intense notes of ripe black fruits, fragrances of Mediterranean pine forest, spices and balsamic aromas. It is an elegant red wine, with juicy and ripe tannins and extraordinarily soft acidity.
Winemaking:
Frei João Reserva is a red wine produced from red grapes of Baga, Touriga Nacional, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon planted in the Bairrada wine region. After a gentle press, with total destemming, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. After this process, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels, where it has stayed, in contact with lees, for 12 months, prior to being bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Frei João Reserva is an elegant and full-bodied red wine from the Bairrada wine region. Dark purple in colour, with intense aromas of ripe black fruits, notes of resin, spices and vanilla. It is fresh, fleshy and with very well-integrated acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
