Lavradores de Feitoria Meruge is a red wine with a complex aromatic matrix, vibrant nose, full of freshness and medium concentration, making it an engaging and very elegant red wine from the Douro. It is a red wine with aromas of wild red fruits, with notes of ripe black fruit, notes of spices and balsamic and soft acidity.
Winemaking:
Lavradores de Feitoria Meruge is a red wine produced from red grapes of an old vine of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca, from the Douro wine region. After the harvest, the grapes macerated in granitic Lagares where were have been foot trodden and where the wine has fermented at low temperatures. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to new's French oak barrels where it has maturated for 12 months, prior to being bottled.

Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca from old vines.

Lavradores de Feitoria Meruge is an extraordinary red wine from the Douro region that stands out for its elegance, refined body, medium intensity and complex aromas. It presents delicious flavours of wild red fruits, with nuances of black plum and blackberries and spices, such as black pepper, cloves and vanilla. It is a red wine with very soft tannins and very mild acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
