Pintas Doc Douro Red Wine 75cl

Winemaking:
Pintas Doc Douro is a red wine produced from autochthonous red grape's varieties of old vines with 87 years old, from the Douro region. being foot trodden in granitic stone's Lagares the wine has been subjected to a long period of maceration. The wine has fermented at controlled temperatures in granitic tanks where it was continuously and carefully stirred. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to news French oak barrels, where it has stayed for 18 months prior to being stabilized, and bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Pintas Doc Douro is an elegant and attractive red wine, aromatic, of superb intensity, with notes of ripe wild fruits such as blackberries and raspberries, and a subtle balsamic touch. It presents dense and juicy tannins, mineral notes and aromatic herbs like basil and mint and a very polished acidity.

Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.

Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges began their adventure in 2001. At first, they had no vineyards of their own but had a common dream of developing a personal project in which they could express their enological vision. The name Wine & Soul results from great passion and total dedication to wine. The company's objective is the development of exceptional wines in the Pinhão valley, the historic heart of the great Port wines. His first wine named Pintas was inspired by the couple's bold vision. That which was at first a wine project is now a reference in the wines of the Douro, using for such grapes of old vines with more than 30 mixed grape varieties. It reveals the grandeur and natural richness of the Douro region very faithful to the traditions of it. Later they developed the Pintas Character, White Guru, the Vintage Pintas Port and the distinctive 5G Port Wine that results from a lot of very old wines, some of them more than a hundred years old. Quinta da Manoella Vinhas Velhas has quickly gained great recognition and is today one of the great Douro wines.
