Tapada do Chaves Reserva is a full-bodied red wine from Alentejo. His dark garnet colour reveals high concentrated red fruits that stand out all it's complex aromas of wild berries red and black, with a presence in the wood where it aged. It has a very good balance between the round and soft tannins and a lingering freshness in the end.

Tapada do Chaves winery stands as a patrimony, standing on the slope of the Serra de São Mamede, near the town of Portalegre, in the highlands of the Alentejo. It is an emblematic place, is under a granite massif and at a generous altitude that allows the slow and full maturation of the grapes, which reflects in very pure aromas in the wines and a unique freshness for the red wines and white wines of the region. The vines are aged between 15 and over 85 years and are planted with many varieties: Trincadeira, Aragonez and Castelão, among the paints, and Fernão Pires, Arinto, Alva and Tamarez in the white cast. The Tapada do Chaves Reserva red and white wines are old acquaintances of Portuguese wine lovers, but because of their very limited production, they have never become popular. They gained fame in a restricted circle of enophiles in love with classics and great discoveries. To date, the Tapada do Chaves Reserva Red Wine is produced according to the traditional method, it still matures in Portuguese oak barrels.
Winemaking:
Tapada do Chaves Reserva Red Wine was vinified by manually grape's picking, followed by de-stemming, and soft crushing of the grapes, with the solids transported to, open, wooden barrels. The fermentation lasted about 25 days along with a prolonged maceration, at controlled temperatures. The wine remained in new Portuguese oak barrels for 15 months and 12 months in bottle before launched in the market.

Tapada do Chaves Reserva has an intense red color. It is a very elegant wine, a classic Portuguese red wine at its best with very complex aromas, dominating black and red fruits, exotic woods, earth, sweet floral notes and vanilla notes. It reveals fine tannins with a lasting freshness.
Store and Serve Advice:
Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serve at a temperature of 16°C to 18ºC.
Ribeiro Santo Reserva is a red wine of extreme elegance. Of an intensely aromatic character, it highlights wild fruit aromas seasoned with balsamic notes and nuances of vanilla. It presents juicy tannins and great acidity.
Cabeca de Toiro Reserva is a structured red wine, loaded with aromatic intensity, ripe red fruits, notes of wood and elegant tannins. It has density, freshness and balanced acidity.
Herdade do Sobroso Cellar Selection Syrah and Alicante Bouschet is a red wine of extraordinary elegance and soft and delicate aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries, cherry and black plum, mixed with soft notes of raspberry. It presents very ripely, elegant and round tannins, with balsamic notes and very polished acidity.

Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas Album is an elegant red wine dominated by the ripe red fruit aromas, floral scents, and round and juicy tannins.
Susana Esteban Procura is a vigorous red wine with intense notes of macerated ripe red fruits along with mineral nuances, balsamic aromas, notes of spices and fragrances of extraordinary wood. It has a structured body, rich fruit tannins, and a very fine and elegant acidity.
