Dark garnet color with ruby nuances. It is an opulent, rich wine, full of ripe black fruit, plums and blackberries. Very sweet, robust tannins that, along with acidity, wrap around the dense core developing the rich flavors of dark chocolate, raisins and figs. It has a mineral and velvety finish.
Winemaking:
Vintage Port Wines are bottled in cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia after the second year of aging in French oak wood. Produced according to the traditional method of foot treading in classic stone called "lagares". A Vintage Port is only declared in years of exceptional quality.
