Messias Colheita 1968 is a fabulous Port Wine from a legendary vintage Port year. Blondish in colour, this 1968 Port Wine has sweet dry fruit aromas with an amazing balance from the ageing in the wood giving rise to a bouquet that brings out the aromas of dried fruits, aromas of roasting, wood, and spices. It is soft, harmonious and with certain fruit complexity aromas at the end.

Messias Colheita 1968 was produced from the traditional Port Wine method by trodden in granite stone's Lagares, with controlled temperature. It was aged in oak casks since 1968 in the warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia. Colheitas Tawny Port wine is a vintage Port wine, which aged, in contrast to Vintage Ports, in wood oak casks and may be bottled only after the seventh year.

Tasting Notes:
Messias Colheita 1968 it's a glamorous and old Tawny Port with several complex aromas. It's rich with full of dried fruits notes, resins and balsamic flavours. It is a perfect example of a very old, Colheita Port wine.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serve cool at 9-14°C. Decantation is not necessary because this filtered port has no sediment. It is ready to drink as soon as it is bottled. It can be enjoyed for about 3 months, keeping the bottle in a cool place.
