Kopke Colheita Port Wine 2005 is an imposing and delicious Port's wine, with outstanding aromas of macerated red fruits and caramelized aromas. It is a wine that evolved extraordinarily with time, presenting evolution notes of toasted citrus flavours mixed with nuts, caramel, and candied orange peel. It ends in a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness.
Winemaking:
Kopke Colheita Port Wine 2005 was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 15 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing on wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz.
Tasting Notes:
Kopke Colheita Port Wine 2005 is a very elegant, subtle and irreverent Port Wine. It presents extraordinary notes of roasted citric fruits, now evolved to caramelized aromas, mixed with flavours of dried fruits such as walnuts and almonds. It ends in perfect harmony between its residual sugars and its fantastic acidity.
