Maynards Colheita Tawny 1934 Port is an elegant, imposing wine that demonstrates its age, with ripe caramel and dried fruit aromas. It is an old Port wine who features smooth and citric acidity along with intense flavours of wood resulting from its long stage in the wood and making it a wine of dry, concentrated and dense profile.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1934 Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 80 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1934 Port is a dense, full-bodied and mellow wine. It features caramel-laden notes, balmy, vanilla, spice and wood aromas. It is a wine that finishes with a subtle citrus acidity along with a dry character.
