Maynards Colheita Tawny 1962 Port, like its twin brother Maynards Colheita 1962 White Port, both are wines, that comes from a legendary year for Port wines. This is a delicious and smooth wine, with fabulous flavours of old wood that blend with the ripe caramel and the acidity of citric fruit and quince jam.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1962 Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 50 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1962 is a Port wine extraordinarily balanced, sweet, dry and citric. Reveals a perfect harmony between the macerated fruits and the aromas of confit citrus, lemon zest and quince jelly. IIt is a wine that ends in a citric acidity and with lovely dried fruit flavours.

Serving temperature at 10ºC-12ºC.
