Maynards Harvest Tawny 1974 Port is rich, intense and immensely complex's Port wine. It has rich flavours of caramel and spices that contrast with the notes of fresh and citrus acidity of wood aging, giving a dry core to ripe sweet fruits.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1974 Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 40 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1974 Port is a fine, and elegant Port wine that has aged in oak barrels for over 40 years. This is a sublime, sumptuous wine with outstanding aromas of caramel and cinnamon, vanilla and pepper. It finishes with the notes of fresh acidity of wood aging, highlighting a dry core of its sweet and ripened fruits.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serving temperature at 10ºC-12ºC.
