Maynards Colheita Tawny 1977 Port is an elegant, sublime and soft 40-year-old Port wine which expresses itself an intense and complex aromatic bouquet it presents aromas of caramelized macerated fruits, marmalade jam, prunes and raisins along with citrus, deep and seductive acidity.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1977 Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 40 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1977 Port is a sweet and fine Port wine. Of golden amber colour and a slightly orange rim, reflects all its splendor. In this set, it's highlighting the maceration of the ripe fruit in the oak wood, which has shaped this rich, and exuberant Port into a magnificent piece of art. It ends with notes of roasted walnuts, apricots and raisins, proving its superiority in quality.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serving temperature at 10ºC-12ºC.
