Maynards Colheita Tawny 1990 Port is a mature, complex and smooth 30-year-old Port wine. It stands out for the delicious aromas of caramelized dried fruits, slight citric acidity, with notes of confit orange peel, marmalade, and caramelized apricots. Finishes in a slight dry profile, full of freshness and intense.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1990 Port was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 30 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny 1990 Port is fantastic Port wine, striking for the complexity and softness of its aromas. A 30-year-old Port, where the aromas of macerated fruits became complex aromas, honey, raisins, caramel, and oak barrel. It presents slight acidity and citrus notes in its finish.
