Maynards Colheita Tawny Port 1969, a wine from the 1969 harvest, a 50-year-old Port, expresses all the exuberance of a magnificent port wine aged in oak casks for over 50 years. It is rich in aromas of macerated citrus fruits, highlighting fresh aromas of citrus, raisins, dried apricots and hints of honey and licorice. It ends in a refreshing acidity.
Winemaking:
Maynards Colheita Tawny Port 1969 was produced by the traditional Porto wine method. This is a wine of exceptional quality, from a single harvest. It maturated in wood, for over 50 years, although, Colheitas Port wine never are less than 7 years of ageing in wood casks.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão.
Tasting Notes:
Maynards Colheita Tawny Port 1969 besides being a fabolous Port wine, harvested in the 1969 and being now, a fifty-year-old Port, features a beautiful golden colour that reveals wonderful confit citric fruit aromas. In its wide aromatic bouquet, it shows fantastic layers of honey flavours and citric fruity aromas such as raisins and dried apricots and gorgeous acidity.

Serving temperature at 10ºC-12ºC.
