1990 Niepoort Late Bottled Vintage Port is a firm and tannic LBV Port wine that highlights the impressive and concentrated notes of ripened black fruits, spiced with fig juice and sultanas. It features a solid and robust core that along with its acidity and complexity of aromas making it complete and impressive.
Winemaking:
1990 Niepoort Late Bottled Vintage Port is produced from the blend of powerful, rich and fruity wines of a single year by the traditional Port wine's method. The grapes are tread in granite "Lagares", the wine is stored and ages, in large oak wood vats, for a period of 4 years old and it is bottled in the same way as a Vintage Port Wine, without any prior treatment.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Roriz.
Tasting Notes:
1990 Niepoort Late Bottled Vintage Port is an impressive LBV Port wine which highlights in its concentrated aromas such as blackberries, cherries, figs, and blueberries, the complexity of its maturation and development into the bottle all these years. It has a perfect maturation and balance, while the fruit has a great concentration of flavor. It is a rich Porto wine, with much black fruit and dark plum flavours, and a robust and tannic core.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serving temperature at 15ºC-16ºC.
