Quinta das Carvalhas Vintage Port 2017 proves to be very elegant, full of aromatic and floral loading. Notes of ripe black fruits overlap with floral, subtle, violet and rose fragrances, where aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and blueberries stand out. It has silky and juicy tannins and very balanced acidity.
Winemaking:
Quinta das Carvalhas Vintage Port 2017 is produced by the traditional Port wine method, trodden in granitic stone's Lagares, and it's aged for 2 years, in French oak wood hulls before being transferred to the bottle.
Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão.
Tasting Notes:
Quinta das Carvalhas Vintage Port 2017, as in the years of 2015 and 2016, which were years, proclaimed as classic, by the Port wine's institute, this one is, once again, a magnificent Vintage Port's wine of a closed, intense and purple color, revealing youth, freshness and huge aromatic charge. It combines floral notes with intense aromas of ripe black fruits. It presents fresh and open tannins with a very balanced acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in the upright position ± 15 ° C at a constant temperature. Serve at a temperature between 12-14ºC.
