2002 Harvest Blandys Sercial is a Madeira wine of enormous aromatic complexity, combining citrus notes with aromas of tropical fruits, salinity and a lot of minerality. It is an exuberant Madeira wine full of notes of molasses, nuts, vanilla and caramel along with fantastic acidity.
Winemaking:
2002 Harvest Blandys Sercial is a Madeira wine produced from autochthonous grapes of Sercial from the Madeira wine region. The grapes, after being pressed, were fermented in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation was stopped, the wine was transferred to greenhouse tanks, where it was subjected to a cyclic heating and cooling process, with temperatures between 45ºC and 50ºC, for three months. After this process the wine has staged in American oak casks, using the traditional "canteiro" method for 15 years prior to being bottled.

2002 harvest Blandys Sercial is a superb, complex and intensely aromatic Madeira wine with a medium-dry character and tropical aromas. It is a rich, citrus wood wine, with typically well developed tertiary aromas, such as aromas of molasses, caramel, and quince jam along with very elegant acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store at a temperature of 18 ° C. Serve at 13ºC to 14ºC.
