Castas Escondidas is an elegant and complex red wine from the Douro wine region. It presents intense aromas of red fruits, balsamic and truffled notes involved in velvety and solid tannins. It is a mineral and round red wine, with a closed aromatic bouquet and polished acidity.
Winemaking:
Castas Escondidas is a red wine produced from red grapes of old vines of the Douro wine region. After the harvest, the grapes were macerated in stainless steel tanks, before being pressed, for 72 hours. After the fermentation process in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperatures, the wine was subjected to regular stirring, for 18 months, prior to being bottled.

Castas Escondidas is a balanced, rich and intensely aromatic red wine from the Douro wine region. It presents complex aromas of ripe red fruits, surrounded by layers of balsamic aromas, notes of truffle and chocolate. It is a wine that presents silky and austere tannins, with mineral notes and very elegant acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
