Winemaking:
Teixuga is a red wine produced from the red grapes of Touriga Nacional's red grapes variety from the oldest vines of the Quinta da Teixuga, 50 to 70 years old of the Dão wine region. After partial destemming, and pressing, the wine was macerated with the skins prior to being transferred to stainless steel vats where the fermentation process took place. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it was subjected to regular stirring for 40 months prior to being bottled. It stayed in the bottle for 18 months prior to being released.

Grape Varieties:
Touriga Nacional and other red grape varieties from old vines.
