Noval Black is a fresh, young, very balanced Ruby-style Reserve Port that highlights notes of wild fruits such as blackberries and raspberries with balsamic nuances and hints of dark chocolate. It is a Port wine with juicy tannins, very subtle acidity and aromatic intensity of enormous quality.
Winemaking:
Noval Black is a Reserve Port wine produced with autochthonous red grapes of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and Sousão from the Douro wine region. The wine was produced by the classical Porto wine method were the grapes that were foot trodden in granitic Lagares and the fermentation took place at controlled temperature with a pre-maceration. When the wort was reached the desired sweetness value, the fermentation was interrupted by the addition of brandy. 50% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels, and the rest in stainless steel vats prior to being bottled, for 2-3 years average.

Noval Black is an elegant and intensely aromatic Reserve Porto wine, which displays intense notes of wild fruits such as blackberries, berries, raspberries and cranberries, along with balsamic notes such as vanilla and cinnamon. It is a fresh Reserva Port wine, rich with very juicy tannins and very balanced acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serve temperature 8-10°C.
