Ramos Pinto Collector Reserva shows a deep red colour with a pale red rim. The aromatic characteristics are similar to that of a vintage Port due to the potency of its dominant and dense fruit, revealing mellow aromas of dried plum, fig, blackberry, raspberry and cherry. The palate is smooth with a full, balanced sensation of sweetness developed into a long lasting finish.

Founded by Adriano Ramos Pinto in 1880, Casa Ramos Pinto soon became noted for its innovative and enterprising strategies, including the use of distinctive art styles on its bottles. This Ramos Pinto Reserva Collector belongs to "Style" Ramos Pinto's collection that represents the hard structure from the Douro and the Terroir, reflected the strong heritage, the contribute of the ancient vineyards to the outstanding Port Wines that are there produced.
Winemaking:
To create the Collector Reserva, the selected grapes were fermented for 4-5 days before fermentation were interrupted with the addition of 20% brandy. The wine was then racked and left to mature. It did not undergo any hot or cold treatment or filtration. Several wine samples were analysed, some young wines of 2, 3 or 4 years old, some with an average age of 7, 8 or 9 years old. From these batches, a 5-year-old wine was created.

Tasting Notes:
Ramos Pinto Collector Reserva is fruity, rich, layered with tannins and sweet raisins, this has an elegant style. Its structure is an important element, allowing the fruit to come through, giving some dryness and adding acidity to the wine.
Store and Serve Advice:
The bottle should be kept upright, protected from light and humidity, at a constant temperature of 16ºC-18ºC. It is ready for drinking and does not require decanting. Once open, it should be consumed within 2-3 weeks. Serve between 12ºC-16ºC.
