For this Kopke Reserve Tawny Port the grapes were pressed and the fermentation took place at controlled temperature with a pre-maceration. When the wort reaches the desired sweetness value, the fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy, and then aged in French oak barrels until bottled for an average period of 7 years.
