Fonseca 10 Year Old Tawny Port has the full Fonseca style. This aged Tawny presents both rich fruit and a softer wood-aged. It has a very good acidity following the sweet initial taste, developing into ripe fruits flavours, hazelnuts, plum jelly, and a final crisp acidity.
Winemaking:
Fonseca 10 Year Old Tawny Port are aged in Fonseca cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Aged Tawny Port wines grow lighter in colour, as they throw their deposit in the cask rather than in the bottle. The process of racking contributes to the oxidation process whereby the wine's fruit qualities gradually diminish and its nutty characteristics are acquired. The wines drawn from this extensive reserve of aged ports are then carefully blended for balance and continuity of style.

Fonseca 10 Year Old Tawny Port is a very rich, sweet wine, full of concentration and very ripe fruit flavors. This is the classic Fonseca style, all richness and depth of flavour. It is great in acidity and great in ripe fruits.
