100 Hectares Vinhas Velhas is a complex and extremely aromatic red wine from the Douro region. It presents delicate floral notes along with ripe black fruit, plums and blackberries, balsamic fragrances, spicy notes and round tannins. With a powerful core of fruit aromas, it presents mineral notes, aromas of shale and wet granite and elegant acidity.
Winemaking:
100 Hectares Vinhas Velhas is a red wine produced from red grapes from Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional from the Douro wine region. After partial destemming, and pressing, the wine was macerated for 48 hours with the skins prior to being transferred to used oak vats where the fermentation process has taken place. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it was subjected to regular stirring for 12 months prior to being bottled.

100 Hectares Vinhas Velhas is a full-bodied, fruity red wine with intense and open aromatic notes. It highlights a fresh aromatic profile with aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries, blueberries and plums. It presents balsamic notes, spices and dark chocolate. It is a red wine with fleshy tannins, presenting a very aromatic core and elegant acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
