For the production of this red wine from the region of Dão, Casa de Santar Reserve Red Wine, the grapes were manually harvested followed by total destemming and soft crushing, with the solids transported to fermentation vats with controlled temperature with frequent reruns. The fermentation lasted for about 5 days along with a skin maceration. The wine aged in French oak barrels for 10 months until bottling where it remained 6 months until its commercialization.

Store and Serve Advices:
Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serve at a temperature of 16°C to 18ºC.

Marquês de Borba Reserva is a lush and opulent red wine from the Alentejo region replete with aromatic intensity and fruit concentration. The aromas of ripe red fruits, black peppers, cardamom, basil and cacao stand out in its aromatic bouquet. It is a powerful and vigorous red wine with round and compact tannins alongside an elegant acidity.
Deep red color. In the nose it relieves complex notes of blackberry and cherries allied to expressions of fine vanilla and tobacco. Wine of mineral character and very expressive. It presents in the very velvety mouth, soft and full of elegance evidencing robust tannins and full of fruit.
