Costa Boal Superior is a red wine that presents complex and very attractive aromas of red fruits, notes of rockrose, balsamic aromas and fruity and impactful tannins. It is a fresh red wine, which has enormous aromatic breadth and very well balanced acidity.
Winemaking:
Costa Boal Superior is a red wine produced from red grapes of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Sousão, all autochthonous varieties from the Douro wine region. After partial destemming, and pressing, the wine was macerated with the skins prior to being transferred to stainless steel vats where the fermentation process took place. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it was subjected to regular stirring for 12 months prior to being bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Costa Boal Superior is a very elegant, complex red wine with an aromatic bouquet dominated by aromas of red fruits. It is an elegant red wine, with a core dominated by lively aromas of fruit with light balsamic, along with expressive mineral notes and well-balanced acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
