Quinta da Gaivosa Vinha de Lordelo is produced from the grapes of the best vineyards of Quinta da Gaivosa the Vineyard of Lordelo - the oldest of the vineyards of Quinta da Gaivosa. The grapes that compose this lot come from a collection of more than 30 native grape varieties planted together (including rarities such as "Malvasia Preta"). With more than 100 years, its scarce production (a small bunch per vine) would rationally lead to its replanting. But there is little rationale in a vineyard like Lordelo. There is emotion, history, legacy and a unique character that the Alves de Sousa family is pleased to share with this wine.

Tasting Notes:
Quinta da Gaivosa Vinha de Lordelo comes from a 100-year old vineyard, within the Quinta da Gaivosa. It's packed with both tannins and rich, black fruits with an extraordinary elegance.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
Deep garnet coloured. Rich and intense aroma of forest fruit as well as chocolate. Round, ample taste with a long finish. Velvety and complex flavours of fruit, toasted, chocolate and powerful tannins.
Beyra is an elegant red wine with lively aromas of ripe red fruits that interact in a very mineral core, exuding all the freshness and metallic notes together with well-balanced acidity.
Messias Douro Vinha Santa Barbara shows a deep purple colour. It's rich, closed with austere fruit, and some floral touches. It's powerful but round, it has ripe tannins, without excesses, bitter cocoa and mineral notes on the long, juicy ending.
Bella Superior is an elegant red wine with a complex structure from the Dão wine region. It presents deep violet tones and intense aromas of ripe black fruits. It is a red wine with charged and fresh tannins and very well-integrated acidity.
Alice Vieira de Sousa is a very fresh and elegant red wine, with lively aromas of ripe red fruits, violets, dark chocolate and heather. It is a red wine with juicy and soft tannins, with a mineral profile and very balanced acidity
Talha de Argilla is a rich and elegant red wine from the Alentejo wine region, with complex aromas and mineral character. It has a medium body, wide open aromas of ripe black fruits seasoned by spices, such as black pepper, cinnamon and chocolate notes and ends in a very balanced acidity.
