Tapada do Chaves Reserva is a full-bodied red wine from Alentejo. His dark garnet colour reveals high concentrated red fruits that stand out all it's complex aromas of wild berries red and black, with a presence in the wood where it aged. It has a very good balance between the round and soft tannins and a lingering freshness in the end.

Tapada do Chaves winery stands as a patrimony, standing on the slope of the Serra de São Mamede, near the town of Portalegre, in the highlands of the Alentejo. It is an emblematic place, is under a granite massif and at a generous altitude that allows the slow and full maturation of the grapes, which reflects in very pure aromas in the wines and a unique freshness for the red wines and white wines of the region. The vines are aged between 15 and over 85 years and are planted with many varieties: Trincadeira, Aragonez and Castelão, among the paints, and Fernão Pires, Arinto, Alva and Tamarez in the white cast. The Tapada do Chaves Reserva red and white wines are old acquaintances of Portuguese wine lovers, but because of their very limited production, they have never become popular. They gained fame in a restricted circle of enophiles in love with classics and great discoveries. To date, the Tapada do Chaves Reserva Red Wine is produced according to the traditional method, it still matures in Portuguese oak barrels.
Winemaking:
Tapada do Chaves Reserva Red Wine was vinified by manually grape's picking, followed by de-stemming, and soft crushing of the grapes, with the solids transported to, open, wooden barrels. The fermentation lasted about 25 days along with a prolonged maceration, at controlled temperatures. The wine remained in new Portuguese oak barrels for 15 months and 12 months in bottle before launched in the market.

Tasting Notes:
Tapada do Chaves Reserva has an intense red color. It is a very elegant wine, a classic Portuguese red wine at its best with very complex aromas, dominating black and red fruits, exotic woods, earth, sweet floral notes and vanilla notes. It reveals fine tannins with a lasting freshness.
Store and Serve Advice:
Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serve at a temperature of 16°C to 18ºC.
Casa da Passarella A Descoberta is an extraordinarily elegant, fruity, juicy and mineral red wine from the Dão region. It is a wine of matured and imposing tannins, with a perfect balance with the intense and dominant notes of well mature red fruits, and an intense freshness. In the mouth it is silky and of medium body presenting a very balanced acidity.
Messias Bairrada Classico Garrafeira it's a rich and round red wine, full of concentration and delicious. It has weight and opulent black fruits to go with its fresh acidity. It's an elegant, smoothly textured wine, finishing with some dry tannins.
Intense ruby colour. Fresh red fruit aromas such as strawberries and raspberries, notes of black fruit like blackberries. Herbaceous notes, earthy and mineral touches. Medium body, with firm tannins and velvety finish, stand out for good freshness, spicy notes and smoky touches.
Quinta Nova Vinhas Centenárias P28 P21 is a red wine of enormous complexity that shows aromas of macerated black fruits, and ripe wild fruits, such as blackberries and blueberries, along with balsamic aromas, evidenced by hints of spices and vanilla. It has a mineral profile, very balanced acidity and firm and imposing tannins.
Dark-ruby coloured, it exhibits ripe black fruit aromas, hinting at jam, blended with some spices. The palate is intense, complex and velvety, with firm, supple tannins ensuring good longevity.
Quinta Nova Unoaked is an elegant red wine from the Douro Valley loaded with ripe fruit aromas, aromatic intensity and a wonderful acidity.
