Terras do Grifo Vinhas Velhas is a powerful red wine from the Douro that presents a closed ruby color along with extraordinary aromatic complexity, highlighting notes of black macerated fruit, and flavors of jam from ripe black fruits of the forest. It ends in polished and very juicy tannins, in a set of great balance and elegance.
Winemaking:
Quinta do Grifo Vinhas Velhas is a red wine produced from autochthonous red grape's varieties of old vines such as Touriga Nacional , Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz, and Tinto Cão, from the Douro region. After a long period of maceration, the wine has fermented at controlled temperatures in oak vats where it was continuously and carefully stirred. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to news French oak barrels, in contact with fine lees, and it has remained for 12 months prior to being stabilized, and bottled. It has remained into the bottle 36 months before has been released.

Terras do Grifo Vinhas Velhas is a huge red wine from the Douro that shows all its greatness in the concentrated notes of black fruits, almost jammed, round and austere tannins, and in the complex notes the dry tobacco leaf and black chocolate. Closed in character, it is a closed purple red wine and has an impressive acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
