Carolina is a red wine that presents a very elegant and fruity profile, with very polished tannins. The aromas of wild berries, blackberries, blueberries, and red berries along with delicious balsamic nuances and very balanced acidity stands out into its character of this red wine of the Douro Region.
Winemaking:
Carolina is a red wine, produced from autochthonous red grapes of old vines mainly Touriga Franca, from the Douro region. After a short maceration at cold, the grapes were foot trodden in cement's Lagares and it has fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine has stayed in used's French oak barrels, for 6 months, in contact with fine lees, prior to being bottled.

Old vineyards with mainly Touriga Franca.
Tasting Notes:
Carolina is a red wine from the Douro region, polished, elegant and with fresh and fruity notes. It has soft, silky and succulent tannins along with delicate notes of wood and fantastic acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
