Quinta do Monte Xisto is a surprising red wine with an odd superiority of the Douro region. Featuring a luminous appearance, it shows a bright red colour, strong and complex aromas of macerated black fruits, harmoniously balanced by imposing and austere tannins, along with a soft fragrance of wood barrel and great acidity.

Quinta do Monte Xisto is a red wine, produced exclusively with autochthonous red grapes of Quinta do Monte Xisto such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão in the Douro wine region. After a long maceration of 10 days, the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for further 20 days. The wine has been transferred to French oak barrels, where it has stayed for 18 months, in contact of fine lees and been subjected to a regular stirring, prior to being bottled. The wine has matured for a further one year into the bottle into the cellar.

Quinta do Monte Xisto is a bright red wine that features deep red colour, clean and intense black fruit aromas, such as ripe cherries, plums and blackberries, expresses an odd aromatic concentration, notes of excellent ripeness, powerful tannins, minerality, and extraordinary acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
Light in colour, with shades of violet. Very fresh aromas with notes of spices and floral fragrances. Deep and complex, with an intense mineral profile. In the mouth, it is harmonious, with a good balance. The tannins are fine and delicate with a structure of medium and mineral freshness.
