Castello D'Alba Vinhas Velhas is a complex red wine from the Douro Valley, in a modern style and exudes aromas of ripe red fruits that blend harmoniously into the notes of good wood, robust and firm tannins and their fantastic acidity.
Winemaking:
Castello D'Alba Vinhas Velhas is a red wine produced from indigenous red grapes from old vines of the field blend in Douro Valley such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Souzão. After the fermentation process at controlled temperatures, the wine stayed 18 months, in different batches, on used and new's French oak barrels, prior to being stabilized, filtrated, blended and bottled.

Touriga Nacional, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Souzão.
Tasting Notes:
Castello D'Alba Vinhas Velhas is a very elegant red wine from the Douro region, dominated by intense notes of ripe red fruits, spices and good wood. It presents notes of freshness and minerality as basil and granitic stone. Its wonderful acidity is indeed the most relevant point in this fantastic red wine.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
