Costa Boal Sousão is a complex and fresh red wine. It presents notes of pine, black forest fruits, and truffle nuances, accompanied by delicious balsamic notes, such as vanilla, spices and dry tobacco leaf. It is a seductive red wine, with vibrant and fruity tannins and ends with elegant acidity.
Winemaking:
Costa Boal Sousão is a red wine produced from red grapes of Sousão's variety from the Douro wine region. After partial destemming, and pressing, the wine was macerated with the skins prior to being transferred to stainless steel vats where the fermentation process took place. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it was subjected to regular stirring for 16 months prior to being bottled.

Costa Boal Sousão is a red wine that is dominated by intensely aromatic notes subtly surrounded by delicious balsamic aromas. It is dominated by notes of wild black fruits, blackberries and berries, a nose of pine, pine nuts, dry tobacco leaf and vanilla. With fruity and enveloping tannins, it presents great freshness and very balanced acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
