Winemaking:
Dona Santana is a red wine produced from autochthonous red grapes of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, and Alfrocheiro, from the Dão wine region. The wine was subjected to a long cold maceration before the fermentation process. Then the fermentation process took place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. After the fermentation process, the wine has been transferred to new French oak barrels where it has stayed for 18 months, prior to being bottled.
