Quinta dos Frades Vinhas Velhas Grande Reserva is a red wine of great quality and of enormous aromatic intensity. It is dark red in colour, with intense aromas of ripe black fruits and notes of spices and balsamic nuances. It is a full-bodied, fresh red wine, with imposing tannins and highly polished acidity.
Winemaking:
Quinta dos Frades Vinhas Velhas Grande Reserva is a red wine produced from autochthonous red grapes from old vines of Quinta dos Frades in the Douro wine region. After partial destemming, the grapes were trodden in granitic Lagares at controlled temperatures and has stayed in contact with the stalks and skins for 3 weeks. After this process, the wine was transferred to French oak barrels where it has stayed for 12 months, and it was subjected to contact with the lees, prior to being decanted, lightly filtered, and bottled. The wine has remained into the bottle for a further 12 months.

Quinta dos Frades Vinhas Velhas Grande Reserva is a full-bodied, rich and intensely aromatic red wine. It is a red wine that presents intense aromas of ripe black fruits and notes of wild fruits, with pine scent, balsamic touches and mineral notes. It is an imposing and juicy red wine, fresh and with a long and deep finish.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
