Barros Reserve Tawny is a Port wine that presents extraordinary evolution aromas, a Port wine that has aged extraordinarily in barrels, releasing notes of caramelized citrus, dried fruits and caramel. It displays balsamic notes, delicate red fruits and elegant acidity.
Winemaking:
Barros Reserve Tawny is a Port wine produced with autochthonous red grapes of Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, and Tinta Amarela from the Douro wine region. The wine was produced by the classical Porto wine method were the grapes that were foot trodden in granitic Lagares and the fermentation took place at controlled temperature with a pre-maceration. When the wort was reached the desired sweetness value, the fermentation was interrupted by the addition of brandy, and then the wine was aged in French oak barrels until bottled for an average period of 5 years.

Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Amarela.
Tasting Notes:
Barros Reserve Tawny is a complex, rich and velvety Port wine. Displays aromas of caramelized citrus, with balsamic notes, caramel and delicate floral notes. It is elegant and silky, with notes of raisins, dried apricots and roasted hazelnuts and soft acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serve temperature 8-10°C.
