Winemaking:
Vinha Centenária by António Maçanita is a white wine produced from white grapes from Arinto dos Açores, Verdelho, Alicante Branco and Boal, from a centenary vine planted on Pico Island, in the Azores wine region. After a short maceration period of 6 hours, fermentation took place in stainless steel vats. The first presses were fermented in stainless steel tanks and the second presses were fermented in 2-year-old French oak barrels, in contact with fine lees, for 6 months, before being clarified, mixed and bottled.

Grape Varieties:
Arinto dos Açores, Verdelho, Alicante Branco, Boal.

Tasting Notes:
Vinha Centenária by António Maçanita is an extraordinary white wine, practically born in the sea, on the island of Pico in the wine region of the Azores, from a very rare centenary vine in the region. In this way the wine becomes huge, with a unique velvety, and salinic, mineral and fresh notes involved in a tropical fruit aroma, such as passion fruit and pineapple.
