Quinta da Gaivosa Vinha de Lordelo is produced from the grapes of the best vineyards of Quinta da Gaivosa the Vineyard of Lordelo - the oldest of the vineyards of Quinta da Gaivosa. The grapes that compose this lot come from a collection of more than 30 native grape varieties planted together (including rarities such as "Malvasia Preta"). With more than 100 years, its scarce production (a small bunch per vine) would rationally lead to its replanting. But there is little rationale in a vineyard like Lordelo. There is emotion, history, legacy and a unique character that the Alves de Sousa family is pleased to share with this wine.
A collection of more than 30 native old grape varieties.
Quinta da Gaivosa Vinha de Lordelo comes from a 100-year old vineyard, within the Quinta da Gaivosa. It's packed with both tannins and rich, black fruits with an extraordinary elegance.
