Frades is an elegant and rich red wine that presents an aromatic bouquet of great purity, revealing wild berries and nuances of ripe black fruit. On the palate, it shows medium body, polished tannins, delicate acidity, and a fresh, fruity finish.
Winemaking:
Frades is a red wine produced from autochthonous red grapes such as Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca from old vines of Quinta dos Frades in the Douro wine region. After partial destemming, the grapes were trodden in granitic Lagares at controlled temperatures and stayed in contact with the stalks and skins for 3 weeks. After this process, the wine stayed for 12 months, subjected to contact with the lees, prior to being decanted, lightly filtered, and bottled. The wine has remained in the bottle for a further 12 months.

Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca.
Tasting Notes:
Frades is a complex, elegant, and fruity red wine. A red wine from the Douro region that highlights notes of ripe red fruits, delicate floral fragrances, and very well-integrated acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
