Herdade dos Grous Reserva it's a full-bodied Red Wine and it reveals a darkly purple colour, with long wood-aging leaving traces of spice and toast. The fruit is rich and complex, with firm tannins. It is still young and will need some time but for sure it will be an outstanding red wine from Alentejo.

Since 1997 the Herdade dos Grous located in Alentejo, near the city of Beja, Portugal, was acquired by the distinguished hotel group Vila Vita Hotels. Herdade dos Grous is an estate of 730 hectares and is a quiet space to relax and enjoy nature. In this property in addition to the hotel's exploration, the Herdade is gifted with unique characteristics in the heart of the Alentejo. In a succession of olive trees, cork oak forests, and vineyards, it is not surprising that here we find the production of one of the most awarded Portuguese wines, such as the red wine selected from the house, awarded as the best red wine from Alentejo region in 2004. The Herdade dos Grous, besides producing its wines, is dedicated to the breeding of horses, cattle and olive oil.
Winemaking:
The vinification of this Red Wine from Alentejo Herdade dos Grous Reserva has begun with the manual harvest and the manual selection of the grapes. After grapes arrived at the winery they were immediately cooled up to 10ºc. The musts were macerated for 25 days with the grape's skins and then subjected to a prolonged fermentation in lagares. The wine stayed16 months in new French oak barrels before went launched to the market.

Tasting Notes:
Herdade dos Grous Reserva it's a complex red wine from Alentejo and shows a dark purple colour with very structured aromas, dominated by the black and red fruits, exotic woods and spices notes. It reveals fine tannins with a fresh and pleasant final.
Store and Serve Advice:
Storage Lying down at a temperature of 15°C. Serve at a temperature of 16°C to 18ºC.
Deep red color. In the nose it relieves complex notes of blackberry and cherries allied to expressions of fine vanilla and tobacco. Wine of mineral character and very expressive. It presents in the very velvety mouth, soft and full of elegance evidencing robust tannins and full of fruit.
Quinta do Vallado Touriga Nacional is a sumptuous and opulent red wine, packed with balsamic oak notes and red fruit aromas. It has a fresh profile due to its tight tannins altough and it is round and matured, very balanced, with a long fresh finish.
Esporao 4 Castas is an elegant and complex wine from the Alentejo region dominated by the concentration of ripe black fruit aromas such as plums, figs and carob, notes of spices and balsamic touches. It presents great aromatic intensity, freshness and a great acidity.
Quinta do Vallado Vinha da Coroa is a red wine from the Douro region that is velvety, full of black fruit as blackberries, and cherries, and a solid texture. It is a wine with full of concentration a seductive and fruity core with dense tannins and plenty of minerality.
Antonio Saramago is a red wine from the wine region of the Peninsula de Setubal which presents an elegant and fruity structure, dominated by aromas of wild berries, and delicious shades of cherry and black plums. It has soft tannins, balanced freshness, and good acidity.
Quinta da Bacalhôa is a classic and elegant red wine from the region of the Peninsula de Setubal. From very soft and fruity tannins, it exudes aromas of very ripe red fruits, almond blossom fragrances, along with delicious notes of vanilla, spices and ends with gentle and delicate mineral notes.
