Periquita red wine has a beautiful ruby colour with a soft aroma of wood, vanilla, strawberries, blackberries and pine. His palate is well balanced, fruity with a very interesting freshness and very pleasant and soft tannins.

Winemaking:
Periquita is known to have been the first red wine in Portugal to be bottled in a glass bottle. The winemaking for Periquita red wine was started by the hand-picked grapes followed by the destemming, soft crushing and a cold soaking before fermentation for a period of 48 hours. Fermentation has occurred in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature (20ºC to 22ºC) for 5 days with daily manual pump over. Malolactic fermentation has been in stainless steel vats, as well, followed by maturation in French oak barrels for 4 months.

Tasting Notes:
Periquita red wine has a ruby lovely colour. It has an exciting fruity aroma and elegant notes of berries and currants. It's well polished with nice structure and good volume with well-integrated wood notes.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
Herdade de S. Miguel is an elegant, aromatic, and clear red wine from the Alentejo wine region. It presents delicious aromas of ripe red fruits, delicate floral notes, and balsamic nuances. It has a medium body, sweet and ripe tannins and delicate acidity.
Pouca Roupa is an elegant and fruity red wine from the Alentejo region with good minerality a great freshness, slight balsamic touches and a very balanced acidity.
Adro da Sé Reserva is a red wine of extreme elegance of the Dão region. With rich aromas of ripe black fruits and sharped tannins, it has notes of fine wood, vanilla aromas, an attractive freshness, light body and a lot of minerality in its structure.
Quinta das Carvalhas is a fine red wine from the Douro wine region produced from the native variety Tinta Francisca which brings to this red wine an extraordinary elegance, softness in the aromas of ripe black fruits and soft tannins. It is a red wine of velvety and mineral body and has a very balanced acidity.
Jose de Sousa is an impressively rich and structured red wine from Alentejo, by Jose Maria Fonseca. It has juicy tannins well-balanced with the dense black fruits and a very sumptuous and crisp acidity.
Intense ruby color. Aromas of wild fruits and spices, expressing in the mouth all its austere profile, with a velvety finish, elegant and with a harmony between the fruit and the extraordinary acidity.
