Dark red colour. Aromas of ripe black fruits, plums and cherries, with notes of vanilla and spices. In the mouth it is silk with tannins full of fruit and a very elegant acidity. The palate has a sweet and alcoholic flavor.
Winemaking:
For this Kopke Fine Ruby Port the grapes were pressed and the fermentation took place at controlled temperature with a pre-maceration. When the wort reaches the desired sweetness value, the fermentation is interrupted by the addition of spirits, and then aged in French oak barrels until bottled for an average period of 2 years.
