Real Companhia Velha Fundador Tawny Port ages, in average, five years in small barrels of French oak in the cellars of Real Companhia Velha in Vila Nova de Gaia. As the ageing of the wines inside the wood barrel increase, it is the loss of the red colour evolving into the Tawny colour, while losing the deposit in the barrel. After three years of ageing, the wines are then blended a few months before bottling.

Tasting Notes:
It has a tawny colour with aromas of ripe berries. His texture is rich with delicious flavours finished by an attractive acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serve temperature 12-15°C.
Andresen Tawny Port is a delicate wine with ripe fruity aromas with notes of candied prunes. It has a smooth and delicate wood flavours showing a very good ageing. It has spice, honey hints and a rich texture. The wine is full, rich, mature and balanced.
Borges Reserva Tawny Port is an evolved, soft, and elegant Tawny Port wine. Presents notes of red confit fruits, notes of ripe citrus, caramelized orange peel, and oven-baked quinces. It is a Port wine that presents notes of resin, dried fruits, and well-integrated acidity.
This Offley shows a red-tawny tonality, typical of an older Port wine. The gentle ripe red fruits aromas balance the charming and complex walnut notes. In the mouth, there is a delicate bond between soft tannins and natural sweetness which harmoniously unify towards an elegant and fine finish.
Red light color. Aromas of vanilla and nuts. Elegant harmony and fresh red fruit flavor full of the complexity of aging in wood. Delicate aftertaste.
Caramel colour with golden nuances. Aromas of dried fruit and raisins, with notes of vanilla and tobacco. In the mouth it is velvety with a very enveloping acidity. The palate has a sweet and alcoholic flavor.
Tawny colour and nuances of orange peel. Aroma soft and delicate, sweet reminding spices and raisins. Good balance between fine tannins and the subtlety of aromas.

Really nice port wine. Its taste and color is between a ruby and young tawny, despite its tawny name. Combined with its price good value for money.
