Maria Izabel is a red wine that presents a rich and elegant aromatic bouquet. Dominated by aromatic notes of wild red fruits, it presents a fresh and vibrant character with rustic tannins, very present minerality and fine acidity.
Winemaking:
Maria Izabel is a red wine produced from the red grapes of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Francisca, Tinto Cão, Touriga Nacional, Sousão, and Touriga Franca, which are autochthonous varieties from the Douro wine region. After partial destemming, and pressing, the wine was macerated with the skins prior to being transferred to stainless steel vats where the fermentation process took place. After the fermentation process, the wine was transferred to used French oak barrels where it was subjected to regular stirring for 12 months prior to being bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Maria Izabel is a Douro red wine that exhibits in an extraordinary way the typical profile of a great Douro red wine. Displaying a freshness and minerality in its bouquet, it also shares prominent notes of ripe wild fruits, rockrose and balsamic aromas. Its rustic tannins and full of fresh notes intertwine with a very elegant acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 15ºC-18ºC.
