Quinta das Carvalhas is a fine red wine from the Douro wine region produced from the native variety Tinta Francisca which brings to this red wine an extraordinary elegance, softness in the aromas of ripe black fruits and soft tannins. It is a red wine of velvety and mineral body and has a very balanced acidity.
Winemaking:
Quinta das Carvalhas is a red wine, produced exclusively from the autochthonous red grape variety of Tinta Francisca, from the Douro region. After a long maceration at cold, the wine was fermented in granitic's Lagares at controlled temperatures for further 24 days. The wine has stayed in new's French oak barrels, for 12 months, in contact with fine lees, and further 48 months into the bottle.

Quinta das Carvalhas Tinta Francisca is an extraordinarily elegant red wine from the Douro region. It expresses very soft aromas to ripe black fruits, soft balsamic notes, vanilla fragrances, very soft and succulent tannins, and extraordinary acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
