Pape is an imposing and rich red wine from the Dão wine region. It presents a bright dark color, intense and concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits, fragrances of violet, and balsamic aromas. It is a full-bodied red wine with a velvety texture, firm and solid tannins, and very balanced acidity.
Winemaking:
Pape is a red wine produced from autochthonous field blend red grapes and Touriga Nacional from the Dão wine region. The wine was subjected to a cold maceration before the fermentation process of 12 days. Then the fermentation process took place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. After the fermentation process, the wine has been transferred to new's French oak barrels where it has stayed for 12 months, prior to being bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Pape is an opulent, concentrated, and very elegant red wine from the Dão wine region. It presents a bright dark purple color, and intense aromas of ripe black fruits, notes of resin, balsamic aromas, and perfume of flowers. It is a rich red wine, with austere and firm tannins and fantastic acidity.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
