Terra d'Alter red wine has a beautiful purple-red colour. Its aromas include berries, currants, plums and licorice. It has spicy flavours with a full palate, leading to a smooth and a lingering finish.
Winemaking:
The grapes were hand-picked and unloaded. In the cellar grapes went be full-destemming followed by soft crushing. Grapes were suffered a cold soaking before fermentation for a period of 48 hours. Fermentation has occurred in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature (20ºC to 22ºC) for 5 days with daily manual pump over. Malolactic fermentation has been in stainless steel vats, as well, followed by maturation in French oak barrels for 6 months.
Grape Varieties:
Aragonêz, Trincadeira, Syrah.
Tasting Notes:
Terra d'Alter red wine has a lovely colour, with a vibrant fruit aroma, elegant and fresh notes of berries and currants. Well carved and polished in the mouth, has a nice structure with good volume and some notes of wood well integrated.
Store and Serve Advice:
Store in a cool place (15ºC). Serve at 16ºC-18ºC.
